Mtd Ltd were delighted to be approached by the Worcester-Bosch group and asked to be their first and only approved installer for this area, an accolade that even today as a family run concern we are proud continue. As a family run firm, this is an accolade we are proud to continue even today.

2004

2004 was an incredible year for Wow Heating and it really put us on the map. We were outright winner of the ‘Environment 2020 Awards’. The awards are designed to recognise individuals, or companies, that have embraced greener technologies and who provide environmentally friendly heating and hot water solutions. The knock on effect of this was enormous and as such, we were asked to undertake a series of radio interwiews giving specialist advice on renewable energies during Environmental Week.

TV Debut

The BBC production team asked if we could help ‘DIY SOS’ with a project in Cleethorpes. We were delighted to accept and spent a memorable week with Nick Knowles and the team, replacing an old heating sytem and removing a cast iron boiler.

2006

2006 saw big changes for the company. We decided to re-brand the company with a name more applicable to the services we offer. WoWheating.co.uk was a much more dynamic name, that encompassed what we do, but also allowed us to introduce new technologies to our domestic customers. It was a big decision, as we didn’t want to lose contact with our customers, or sacrifice our well earned reputation. So we successfully introduced the new branding slowly over a two year period.

Our founder was one of only 12 engineers in the UK that year, to sit the Building Regulations L1 exam. A qualification that allows us to provide building control consent for gas boiler installations and which can save our clients from going through the burden of the planning application process. We also undertook solar hot water training and became the first Worcester-Bosch accredited installer for Lincolnshire.

Our specialist knowledge of greener technologies saw our client base increase dramatically with work coming in from all over the world.

To 2010

The last 12 months have seen enquiries for greener technologies increase by more than 300%. We have invested heavily in this field for the last 10 years and our research has taken us all over Europe to identify the best use of solar hot water panels and heat pumps. Renewable energy accounts for almost 100% of the work we undertake, allowing us to be at the forefront of providing cost effective, environmentally sound solutions for YOUR heating and hot water requirements
